Dado Queiroz
Regarded by Sudtipo’s Ale Paul as “a 3D type magician”, in this talk Dado Queiroz offers an honest examination of the development of his lettering design so far. From external influences such as architecture, music and biology, through the love for expression and obsession with forms, all the way to one dollar worth existential observations, many visual techniques are explained in context.
The vast, inspiring possibilities of modern lettering are also briefly analyzed: as a small contributor to the process, Dado will share his view on how the discipline grew to be one of the most vibrant niches of the visual realm in recent years.
Dado Queiroz is a brazilian graphic designer currently living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is best known for his lettering and volume suggesting work, that has been featured in many magazines, books and online media. His 2011 portfolio can be seen at www.dadoqueiroz.com.
