TDC Scholarship Awards

Awarded to promising students of typography.

The 2001 annual TDC Scholarships were awarded for the 2001-2002 academic year at the June opening of the TDC exhibition. Recipients include:

• Timea Danc, School of Visual Arts
• Bo-Ram Kim, Fashion Institute of Technology
• Avi Kravitz, Pratt Institute, Mahlon Cline Award*

  *The scholarship presented to Pratt Institute is named in honor of Mr. Mahlon Cline, who bequeathed a substantial amount to the TDC Scholarship Fund and was a very active Pratt faculty member and alumnus.

• Takaaki Okada, Parson School of Design
• Lyndi Parrett, Portfolio Center, Atlanta, Georgia
• Sophia Yoon, The Cooper Union

• This year's annual International Award will be to a student at The Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark.

  The presentation of the scholarship will take place in a ceremony at the ATypI conference in Copenhagen, 20-23 September 2001.
