Tina Roth Eisenberg, Swiss Miss and Silent Auction “Beautiful Banal”

We will hear from contemporary designer and fresh-as-a-minute blogger Tina Roth Eisenberg, the force behind swiss-miss.com, a design journal of infectious ethusiam and inspiring finds. Roth Eisenberg, who refers to herself as a “Swiss designer gone NYC”, started swissmiss in May of 2005 as a personal visual archive. Little did she know she would only 5 years after be stimulating the imagination of an average of 900,000 monthly visitors from all around the world. Based in Brooklyn, swissmiss broadcasts with an European viewpoint and a love for clean, Swiss functional design. Roth Eisenberg will share insights into the work she’s done in New York City and how her blog became a vibrant part of her business model and design studio.

Tina Roth Eisenberg grew up in mountainous Switzerland, influenced by renowned Swiss design and a lot of fresh air. Tina is often referred to as swissmiss, her popular design blog and design studio. Swissmiss broadcasts with an european viewpoint and a love for clear, swiss functional design. She has worked at several prominent NYC design firms, including Thinkmap, Inc., where she helped design the award-winning Visual Thesaurus. Tina is the founder and creative director of swissmiss studio, located in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
