Charles Nix

Charles Nix is a partner in the publishing firm Scott & Nix, Inc. and the President of the TDC. He has taught design and typography for more than fifteen years, and was Chair of Communication Design at the Parsons School of Design from 2002-5 and at the Center for Advanced Design in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 1997-8.
He has lectured and exhibited throughout the world, and his work is included in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. He has won awards from the American Association of Museums, the Art Libraries Society of North America, the Association of American University Press, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the Type Directors Club. In 2005, he chaired TDC 51, the annual typography competition and in 2004, chaired the TDC2 type-design competition.
His company Scott & Nix brings detailed information to readers who want to learn about science and nature. Scott & Nix works with established publishers and publish projects on its own. Their clients include Alfred A.
