TDC Education Series: TDC Urban Lettering Tour: Greenwich Village and Soho
The 10th TDC Urban Lettering Tour will return to Manhattan. We will focus on Greenwich Village and Soho, two neighborhoods that have gone from hip to forgotten as they have become overrun with tourists. Even though they have lost their cachet to New Yorkers their rich architectural and cultural history means that they are still full of intriguing, strange and beautiful examples of urban lettering. This is a chance to rediscover two of the city’s loveliest neighborhoods and to see what the throngs of sightseers are missing. In order to avoid as much of the tourist crowds as possible we will be starting earlier than usual.
Sunday, April 25 from 10 am to 1 pm. The itinerary and meeting point will be announced several days before the tour to participants.
