We are an international organization for all people who are devoted to excellence in typography, both in print and on screen.

Call for Entries

TDC55

Deadline: January 9, 2009

This year will be TDC's fifty-fifth open Call for Entries in its international competition which recognizes excellence in the use of typography, calligraphy, handlettering and other letterforms.

All entries will be judged by a panel of distinguished designers in January 2009.

Winning works will be exhibited in seven traveling shows and published in Typography 30, the hardbound, all-color competition annual designed by Werner Design Werks, The annual is published by Collins Design, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishing, and sold worldwide.

TDC² 2009

This year marks TDC's twelfth open call for entries for type design. All entries will be judged by a panel of distinguished designers in January 2009.

Competition Results

Typography 28 Winning entries in the TDC competitions will be published in Typography 29, the Annual of the Type Directors Club. Designed by Philippe Apeloig, the Annual is published by Collins Design, an imprint of HarperCollinsPublishers, and distributed worldwide.

Winning entries will also be exhibited worldwide in the TDC traveling exhibitions, as well as at the New York opening of the TDC exhibition in Summer of 2008.
