For OpenAI DevDay 2025, we built a kinetic typography system that treats text like a programmable interface. Using square brackets as the core framing device, type assembles, indexes, and reflows to mirror how developers handle collections of information in code. ASCII-inspired character moments introduce playful constraint, while San Francisco RGB primaries punch through a dark-mode environment for crisp broadcast legibility. The system scales across keynote openers, speaker lower thirds, announcement chapters, and interstitials, flexing from minimal utility to expressive motion without losing clarity. The result is a hackable, modular motion language that feels native to builders, celebrating the human touch behind code while reinforcing DevDay as a platform moment.
