CONCEPT:
Acanto is the outcome of a personal journey through the blackletter. It rose from a self-developed blackletter style, and the calligraphic model evolved to become a text font and then a display face. It was a "taming" process, in which that wild set of letters turned into a well-behaved typeface. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts Movement, Acanto has a kind of art mouveau feel.
