As a creative practice and medium for communication, typography has a unique role in global diversity. It is at its best when its community exemplifies the values, policies, and practices that ensure that all people are represented and celebrated—including, but not limited to, those who have been historically underrepresented based on race/ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, socioeconomic status, geography, or religion.
The TDC will commit to actively ensure diverse leadership within our board, competition juries, and conference speakers.
The TDC will support and devote resources to recognizing the work and practitioners of global scripts and underrepresented type communities.
The TDC will acknowledge and dismantle inequities within our by-laws, programs, and services.
