New York is one of the most fascinating cities in the world, and a casual stroll through any of its famous locales is sure to be a typographic journey, by way of its architecture and signage.

On Thursday, May 16, slip into some comfortable shoes and join us as designer, calligrapher, and historian Paul Shaw returns to lead us on one of his renowned TDC Lettering Walks. This year, we will be headed down the spine of Manhattan, along Broadway from City Hall all the way to the Battery! Along the way we will check out sites such as the Sun Building, St. Paul’s Chapel, Trinity Church, the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange, the Brooklyn/Battery Tunnel, the Cunard Building, and the Municipal Ferry Terminal. For those so inclined, we’ll even hop aboard the Staten Island Ferry for lunch in the neighborhood of St. George, where a breathtaking view of Manhattan is always on the menu.
