SUMMARY:TDC64 Exhibition at University of Bridgeport
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, the SASD Graphic Design department brings to the Schelfhaudt Gallery an extraordinary display of communication design\, typography\, and type design. This year is new and different in the best ways — new works by world-class graphic designers\, new works by new practitioners of design working in posters\, books\, identities\, interactive\, environmental\, editorial\, and work by graphic design students.  \nThe Schelfhaudt Gallery is open to the public Tuesday–Friday from 11am to 4pm\, and on Saturday from noon to 4pm. The TDC64 exhibition will be on view until January 11\, but visitors are advised to call ahead to make arrangements to see the exhibition on weekends and during the school's annual winter break (Friday\, December 12\, 2019 through Saturday\, January 11\, 2020). \nThis TDC64 exhibition opens in Bridgeport\, Connecticut following the exhibition’s tour to Tokyo\, Seoul\, Warsaw\, New York\, Antwerp\, Ontario\, Saigon\, Auckland and several cities in Spain\, including Barcelona\, Sabadell\, Soria\,and Madrid. TDC64 is finishing its tour at the University of Bridgeport\, where the works become part of the SASD GD Archives. \nThe exhibition displays typography in a wide range of categories including books\, posters\, magazines\, fanzines\, multimedia applications\, and animation pieces from many countries including the United States\, France\, Germany\, Spain\, the Netherlands\, the United Kingdom\, the People’s Republic of China\, South Korea\, and others. \nExhibition visitors can read about the book that received the Best in Show award here\, and the award-winning student work here. \n\nThe exhibition features eighteen typeface design winners selected from over 225 entries from 39 countries. DESCRIPTION:TDC64 is on display at the Cantabria Central Library as the kick-off to the region’s fourth annual TIPOS graphic design competition\, which takes place later this year.  This free exhibition has previously toured to Tokyo\, Seoul\, Warsaw\, New York\, Antwerp\, Ontario\, Saigon\, and Auckland. DESCRIPTION:The "World's Best Typography" exhibition includes over 280 selections of winning work from the TDC’s annual international typeface design competition and communication design competition selected by an international jury of top designers. \nThe exhibition displays typography in a wide range of categories including books\, posters\, corporate branding\, logos\, web graphics\, film and TV titles\, products\, and magazines from many countries including the United States\, France\, Germany\, Spain\, the Netherlands\, the United Kingdom\, the People's Republic of China\, South Korea\, and others. \nThis TDC65 exhibition comes to Lublin from its debuts in Tokyo\, Seoul\, Warsaw\, Lille\, Barcelona\, Nagoya\, Minneapolis\, New York\, Osaka\, Taipei\, and Ontario. \nThe House of Words is an interdisciplinary institution focusing on art and education\, and a part of the Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre Centre. The mission of the House of Words\, which has operated on this Lublin site since 2008\, is to emphasize the meaning of spoken and printed word in a cultural and social context\, including the importance of “free speech” in the processes of social and political change.
