John Kudos is Managing Partner at KASA Collective and KUDOS Design Collaboratory, leading projects that involve Branding, UX Design, Typography, Publications, 2D Design, Environmental Graphics, and Interactive Exhibition projects. He works with a variety of clients in retail, non-profit, architecture, design, art, cultural, education, healthcare, startups, and publishing in the U.S., U.K., Japan, and Indonesia.
John is an Indonesian-born interdisciplinary designer whose work embraces strategy, design, and technology. His practice focuses on collaboration and experimentation informed by diverse cultural backgrounds and technological resources. His work has been recognized by the Art Directors Club, GDUSA, HOW, PRINT, The Webby, D&AD, Type Directors Club, American Institute of Graphic Arts, and Society of Publication Designers to name a few.
He studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and worked for Pentagram, working closely with partner Abbott Miller for seven years prior to establishing KUDOS Design Collaboratory in 2008.
In 2019 he cofounded KASA Collective to focus on producing high-impact interactive experiences for cultural, corporate, and public spaces through storytelling, technology, and design. KASA represent the synergy of three award-winning, international design agencies: Kudos, Conduit, and Whatever, that have been collaborating on a range of highly complex projects for over two decades.
