Belizean Bitters
Description
The Gaïa Riverlodge and Matachica Resort, located in Belize, wanted to round out their offering by developing a range of alcoholic bitters featuring local flavors. The packaging concept for these bitters was inspired by the old labels on bottles of rum, Belize's favorite spirit, which featured a playful and distinctive use of typography. This principle is reinterpreted in a contemporary way in the typographic compositions that illustrate the names of each of the bitters in this collection. For example, the “Sage & lime” bitter represents the lime leaf and the sage leaf, while the “Seabreeze” bitter uses typography to illustrate the airiness of the sea breeze. Cocktail pairings and recipes are suggested on the back of the labels.
