This variable font is the Kannada companion to an existing Latin (and multi-script) typeface. The font varies in width, with 3 masters outlining the outrageously narrow Skyline width, to the surprisingly legible Normal width, and halting at the monstrously wide Ultra Extended width. The typeface occupies almost any width imaginable, and this magic is now available for Kannada readers anywhere. As this style works perfectly well for the Latin script, it looks right at home in its Kannada outfit, with careful attention to legibility, locally-relevant letterforms and carefully crafted conjuncts and consonant-vowel glyphs. It looks right at home in Karnataka!
