Namrata Goyal
A type designer currently based in India, Namrata is part of the design team at Indo-Icelandic Type Foundry Universal Thirst, publishes fonts independently via Future Fonts, teaches type design workshops occasionally across India, volunteers her time to host TypeLab by Typographics virtually, mentorships via Type Crit Crew and Alphabettes to give back to the community. She specialises in designing fonts for North Indic scripts and deeply cares about typographic research, experimentation and advancement in font technology for the said scripts.
Before graduating from Type and Media in 2018, she studied visual communication design during undergrad at Srishti (Bangalore) and typeface design at Type@Cooper, and worked as a type designer at ITF.
