Description
This is a bespoke typeface family and a tool, made to create live visuals and expressive graphic output using the Roland SPD-SX Pro drum pad. The family consists of 5 variable fonts that resemble different genres of music through the way they interpolate. The goal of the project is to push typographic boundaries, explore rhythm in type design and tool development for live performance visuals. The total number of characters in all 50 masters used for interpolation is over 21,600. There is a 6th style in the making and all styles will support Cyrillic soon.
