The Lives They Lived
Description
Every December, the New York Times magazine dedicates an entire issue to stories about people who died within the year. The subjects range from artists to innovators to regular people with incredible stories. The resulting package, beloved by readers, is a reminder of all the extraordinary ways to be human. The type approach combined the celebratory with the practical — the oversized, headline type Farmacia made an impactful moment out of entering the package. And the sticky, smaller type throughout, helped to mark the start and end of each essay.
