The Olympics Issue
Description
Our 2024 Olympics issue was dedicated to celebrating the awesome talent, innovation, and challenges surrounding the games. The issue featured photographs by Philip Montgomery highlighting athletes from the newest sports to enter the Olympics, as well as daring images by Ben Thouard of Big Wave Surfing in Tahiti, often considered one of the most dangerous breaks on Earth. The expressive display typography throughout was inspired by stencil lettering often found on the various surfaces of the events and utilized an adapted version of Founders Grotesk.
