CONCEPT:
In its permanent exhibition, the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte (House of Bavarian History), by architects Wörner Traxler Richter, shows what made Bavaria the myth it is today. We designed the exhibition graphics for hg merz. The typographical centerpiece is a display font specially designed for the museum. The lines and shapes are reminiscent of traditional costumes, Hofbräuhaus and Neuschwanstein, as well as FC Bayern Munich, Olympiastadion, and BMW. In a light installation made of neon letters—controlled by a random generator—it carries the thirteen exhibition themes into the historic town of Regensburg.
