CONCEPT:
The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equal rights for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community. Our objective was to create a visual language and message that would ignite participation. Through design and language, we looked to funnel fear and outrage into something meaningful. We designed a large-format magazine using only HRC’s brand color with crisp black on newsprint. We made typography the primary vehicle to strengthen the central message of “unite, resist, and enlist.” The piece is visually striking – but, more important, it energizes the reader to do something “more.”
